Senve Darlington Tehmeh

Senve Darlington Tehmeh is a seasoned Liberian diplomat and public affairs professional with over 15 years of experience in international diplomacy, governance, media, and development communications. He currently serves as Minister-Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the Embassy of Liberia in Brussels, where he plays a critical role in strengthening Liberia’s bilateral and multilateral relations across the Benelux region and within key global institutions, including the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the European Union and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS). In his current role, Mr. Tehmeh leads Liberia’s cultural diplomacy efforts, oversees academic affairs for Liberian students in Europe, and serves as a key liaison in educational, media, and tourism partnerships. He has successfully organized and promoted high-level events, exhibitions, and exchange programs that enhance Liberia’s soft power and visibility abroad. His media outreach work has resulted in over a dozen high-impact engagements, contributing significantly to shaping Liberia’s international narrative. A former ChargÃĐ d’Affaires, Mr. Tehmeh has led embassy operations and strengthened Liberia's international presence through strategic media outreach, student mentorship, and bilateral programs. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tehmeh served in senior administrative roles within the Government of Liberia, including at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. In these roles, he helped coordinate national and international initiatives such as the ECOWAS Heads of State Summit and Liberia’s National Tourism Strategy. His work with the World Bank-supported Youth Opportunity Project directly impacted thousands of young Liberians, advancing national development goals. Academically, Mr. Tehmeh holds a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and Global Governance and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Global Risk Analysis and Crisis Management from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He also earned a Certificate in Public International Law from The Hague Academy of International Law. His educational background is complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the African Methodist Episcopal University in Monrovia. In recognition of his leadership and impact, Mr. Tehmeh was named the Most Influential Diaspora Liberian by the Liberty Young Achievers Awards in 2023. He is widely respected for his ability to bridge cultural and institutional gaps, build diplomatic partnerships, and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities in international spaces. Mr. Tehmeh continues to contribute to global conversations on governance, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment—bringing a uniquely African perspective to global diplomacy.
